Losing weight is a long process that will eventually change many of the things you use to do, in terms of what you eat, how you exercise, how you cook. This explains why nutritionists emphasize equally on diet and physical activity. Reducing calories and changing eating habits it is nor equivalent to giving up all your favorite food, and especially, our guilty pleasure, sweets.
These sweets or calorie bombs can be consumed on special occasions and in moderation. Let’s put it this way: a reduction from 300 to 500 calories consumed daily, results in weight loss of 2.20 pounds a week. It is realistic objective and though it may seem little it is equivalent to a weight loss of 36 to 40 pounds per year. To lose weight, we must eat fewer calories that our body uses, this doesn’t mean that you have to eat less, but you can instead adopt and maintain a healthy lifestyle, using simple methods: preparing your favourite dishes with fewer calories, which means replacing high-calorie ingredients with fruits and vegetables. The water and the fibre in fruits and vegetables add volume, so you can eat the same amount of food, but with fewer calories. You can choose dairy and low fat meat because these dishes not only help you to lose weight, but also help you prevent high blood pressure. Get involved in any type of psysical activity: dancing, gardening, walking, tenis. All these help you to have a great psysical and mental shape and droping weight in the meantime.
